Old Rokkers...
Aviva, the insurance giant, has revealed in their recent Real Retirement Report that only 31 per cent of today’s workers actually want to retire between the ages of 60 and 65. On top of this 12 per cent are planning to work beyond 70 and one in 10 of us have decided we are never going to stop working. There is probably a very simple explanation for this, and I suspect it boils down to the fact that individuals’ financial security has been pulled into question with recent events. But this may not be the only reason. There is increasing evidence that many of us enjoy working for the significant emotional, social and intellectual benefits it can bring.
